Applying for a NAPG Credential as a Regular Member:

Through the Transcript Review Process


Application Packets should include the following:

  • Completed Application Form (Download Form for Regular Members)
  • Official copy of your college or university transcripts (not required for those seeking membership as Professional/Scholar Affiliates) or curriculum vitae/resume (for those seeking Professional/Scholar Affiliate membership only)
  • Check or money order for the amount equal to the credential level you are seeking

Associate/ Certificate Gerontology Coordinator $100.00
Baccalaureate Gerontological Specialist $150.00
Graduate /Ph.D Gerontologist $200.00
Professional/Scholar Professional Scholar Affiliate $250.00

Through the Examination Process

The fee schedule for those requesting the exam at various levels is the following:

Associate/ Certificate Gerontology Coordinator $150.00
Baccalaureate Gerontological Specialist $200.00
Graduate /Ph.D Gerontologist $250.00

Applying for NAPG Membership as a Student Member:

To become a Student Member of NAPG you must be currently enrolled in an academic degree program in Gerontology or related field with a Gerontology emphasis at the Associate/Certificate level, the Baccalaureate level, or the Graduate (Master’s or Ph.D.) level at an accredited college or university.

Application Packets should include the following:

  • Completed Application Form (Download Form for Student Members)
  • Official copy of your college or university transcripts
  • Check or money order for the amount equal to the student membership level you are seeking

After mailing your application, this is what will happen next:

  1. You will be notified by email that NAPG has received your packet
  2. Your application will be evaluated by a NAPG evaluation team
  3. You will receive an evaluation report within 30 days from NAPG; and, upon and if accepted, will receive your Credential along with a membership materials.
